Is storeXstore really free?
Yes. All tools — dashboard, AI, seller management, extensions, analytics — are completely free. We earn 1% on sales made by sellers you invite to your store. Your own product sales have zero fees.
What exactly is the 1% referral fee?
When a seller sells a product on your store through storeXstore, we track 1% of that transaction as a platform fee. Fees are accumulated throughout the month and billed as a single monthly invoice — never per-transaction. There's a $5 minimum: if your monthly fees are below $5, they roll over to the next month. Your own sales are never charged.
Are AI tools really free? What's the catch?
AI tools are free for everyone. For fair use, we throttle (slow down, not block) extremely heavy usage. 95% of users will never notice any limit. There's no paywall — just a brief queue for very high-volume requests.
Do I need storeoncloud.com for hosting?
No. storeXstore works with ANY Magento instance — self-hosted, cloud, or any provider. We recommend storeoncloud.com if you don't have a Magento store yet, as they can deploy one in minutes.
How does the extension marketplace work?
storeXstore comes with 11+ built-in extensions, all free. Third-party developers can build and sell additional extensions. They set their own prices, and we take a 10% cut — developers keep 90%. This is the most developer-friendly marketplace in the Magento ecosystem.
How does billing work?
We track seller transaction fees throughout the month. At month end, you receive a single invoice for all accumulated 1% fees. We charge via Stripe — one payment per month, never per-transaction. If your monthly total is below $5, it rolls over to the next month. You'll always see a clear breakdown of every seller transaction.
Does storeXstore process my customers' payments?
No. storeXstore is a management layer — we never touch your customers' payments. You set up your own payment processor (Stripe, PayPal, Braintree, etc.) directly on your Magento store. We only read order data from Magento to track seller sales and calculate commissions. The 1% platform fee is billed separately to you as a monthly invoice.
